University Sales Center Alliance names Dr. Eli Jones, Texas A&M University as Outstanding Dean

The University Sales Center Alliance announces that Dr. Eli Jones, Dean of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, has been named as the Outstanding Dean for 2019 by the University Sales Center Alliance. The USCA is a consortium of 54 member schools who work towards its mission of enhancing the sales profession through setting and monitoring university sales program standards, sharing best practices, enhancing sales curricula, and preparing students for the sales profession.

The USCA Outstanding Dean Award was established in 2019 to recognize a dean who has made significant contributions and demonstrated continued support of a USCA member’s sales program. Dean Jones’ efforts in securing a naming endowment for Texas A&M’s Reynolds and Reynolds Sales Leadership Institute, additional sales faculty at Mays Business School, his extensive industry, academic and research experience throughout his 37 year career and his continued guidance of the sales institute, clearly distinguished him as a valued supporter of sales education. He and his wife, Fern Jones, have also personally endowed a scholarship for undergraduate students in the sales program.

Dr. Jimmy Peltier, President of USCA has stated “Dr. Jones has actively promoted sales education at not only his university, but across all sales program as well.  In addition to being a prolific researcher, he has received Teaching Excellence Awards on the university, national, and international levels.  No one is more deserving of receiving the inaugural USCA Outstanding Dean Award than Dr. Jones.”
